Minecraft 26.3 "Wilderness Bound" dropped this afternoon and the server is running it right now.

Fresh world. New seed, new dappled forest, and a spawn village built for you. A few rules to know: • Land claims are on: /oclaims claim claims the chunk you're standing in, /oclaims unclaim releases it. Team up with /oparties. • Spawn is a safe zone: no PvP, no hostile mobs, no farm animals, no building. Trade with the villagers and use the anvils, ender chests and smithing tables freely. • The village next to spawn is protected too, but the doors, beds and villagers are yours to use.

Events are coming in the next weeks. And remember not to speedrun the End: there will be an event for fighting the dragon, so don't fight it on your own beforehand.

Not your usual Minecraft. Our server runs a mod pack called GregTech: New Horizons, which turns the game into a long, cooperative project: instead of just building a house and finding diamonds, you start from nothing and slowly work your way up through machines, tools and technology, all the way to building things vanilla Minecraft never had. It's slow, it's a bit weird at first, and it's much easier - and more fun - with other people around to figure it out together.

You don't need to know anything about mods to join. Bring your curiosity, bring a friend or two, and we'll figure the rest out as a group.

How to get on the server

1. Install CurseForge. It's a free launcher that installs modded Minecraft packs for you. Download it, open it, and search for GregTech: New Horizons. Choose version 2.8.4 and let it install - it's a large pack, so it can take a little while.
2. Get whitelisted. This just means putting your name on the server's guest list. If you're a member, open your membership page and add your Minecraft (Java edition) name under "Minecraft server," or type /whitelist me <name> in the LahtiAG Discord. It checks your name automatically and you'll usually be added within about five minutes.
3. Bring friends along. Not everyone needs to be a member. Any member can add up to two friends with /whitelist friend <name> in Discord (or the same page above). The board approves it and sends a DM once it's ready.
4. Join the server. Open the modpack through CurseForge like a normal Minecraft world, then connect using this address:

No pressure to know what you're doing on day one - most people don't. Come say hello, and we'll help you get started.

The site has been rebuilt from the ground up, and it now runs a lot of what the association does. A tour of the main things, and a look at what's next.

Events. Every event has its own page: sign up as going or maybe, see who's coming, and add it to your calendar. Tournaments get teams and a live bracket. Events that need a seat have tickets with a QR code, and the door page checks them in. The bot posts each event to Discord with Going and Maybe buttons, so you can answer without leaving the server.

Membership. Joining is a form on the site, lahtiag.fi/join, or /join in Discord, which also links your Discord account to your membership. Once you're in, your membership page shows your status, your events and your stats, with a card you can post in Discord with /profile. /membership in Discord tells you where you stand.

Minecraft. The whitelist for our servers lives on the site. /whitelist me <name> puts your own name on, and you can bring a couple of friends along; the servers pick up changes within minutes.

History. The history page has the hall of fame, the leaderboards, and every past event with its pictures. If you have photos from an event we ran, send them our way and they go in.

News and the shop. Announcements live under News and go out to Discord as they're posted. The shop has the patches and the rest of the merch.

Handy in Discord. /next for the upcoming events, /champion for who holds the latest title, and /roll, /coin and /pick for settling arguments.

A sneak peek. This season the site keeps score: /season shows your events, your Discord activity, your Minecraft play time and the ticks the board gives for helping out, and /leaderboard posts the standings. That is the groundwork for the season pass: points for taking part, levels along the way, and some cool rewards at the end. The board is finalising the rules now, and everything counted since 1 September counts towards it.

Try to build somewhat near spawn: the idea is to group builds near the centre to create a sort of LAG city. There are no building guidelines, build in whatever style you please.
